Supplier Quality Engineer – Days – Up to £40k – Burnley

Our client is a large and well-established engineering business who have grown year on year since their inception and are now regarded as leaders in their field. They offer a complete manufacturing service as are an incredibly advanced engineering business who work within various industries for some of the biggest companies in the world. They have a state-of-the-art facility due to consistent investment in the latest technology and machinery and work only to the highest quality standards. The staff within the business are offered continued development and training opportunities to support their careers. Due to the continued growth the company are going through they now require an experience Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team.

To be considered for the role you must:

• Ideally hold a Manufacturing / Engineering degree
• Have proven experience working within a Quality engineering role
• Have Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
• Be able to implement process improvement techniques 
• Have experience of production and manufacturing processes and techniques

Specific role responsibilities:

• Supplier audit planning and execution to agreed time plans
• Monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance
• 8D for Supplier related issues, robust containment within 24 hours, timely closure of concerns
• Develop procedures, standards, and other quality documents
• Cost capture of Non-Con and recovery with assistants from accounts
• Scorecard generation and related action plans
• Data generation for quality and business reviews
• To ensure supplier process capabilities are effective to meet product and process requirements
• Performing on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues
• Request and assist in the review of supplier layout inspection documentation to a pre-determined plan

This is a standard day shift opportunity although you will e expected to work extra hours should the role require it and is paying a salary of up to £40k depending on your previous skills and experience along with other benefits which will all be discussed at interview stage.
