      Senior Production Engineer

      Senior Production Engineer – Days – Up to £55k Plus Benefits – Dartford

       

      Our client is a Well-established engineering company who specialise in the design and manufacture their own high performance electric industrial motor products. They work to the highest quality standards and strive for excellence in their work, with the ultimate goal to provide the best quality products on time to their customers. Over the past few years the company has invested heavily in expanding and modernising its manufacturing capabilities with the latest machinery and technology in pursuit of technical excellence and as a result now work out of one of the most advanced Machine Shops in the area. Due to all this they are now recruiting for a Senior Production Engineer to join the team.

       

      To be considered for the role you must:

       

      • Ideally be Degree educated in mechanical engineering
      • Have experience of driving improvements in a manufacturing environment.
      • Have strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5s and FMEA.
      • Be patient and approachable with a manner conducive to the training and developing of staff   
      • Have a background within mechanical, electronics/electrical, production or manufacturing engineering.
      • Have previous experience of designing tooling and fixturing.
      • Have PLC & Software programming/diagnosing experience.

       

      Other area of the role:

       

      • Taking ownership of the value stream KPI’s (SQDCP) along with the value stream leader and Lead Production Engineer.
      • Lead and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) as necessary.
      • Leading problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
      • Supporting new product introduction and new equipment/process introduction.
      • Defining, developing and maintaining processes, equipment and tooling as necessary.
      • Collecting and analysing data to enable continuous improvements.
      • Defining and improving standard work, work instructions and quality plans.
      • Creating proposals for new cell layouts or re-layouts where required.
      • Leading of engineering projects and driving their successful conclusion.
      • Working towards achieving on time delivery and quality measures for the engineering department.
      • Liaising with suppliers and customers where necessary.
      • Planning and organising maintenance/support of equipment.
      • Identifying faults, investigating production problems and repairing equipment quickly and efficiently.

       

      This is a standard day shift role with working hours of 7.30am – 4.15pm Monday to Thursday and working until 12.30pm on a Friday but due to the nature of the role there may be times when extra hours are required to get the job done. This role is paying a salary of up to £55k depending on your previous skills and experience but also offers great benefits such as a company pension scheme, life insurance, Production Bonuses, private healthcare, 33 days holiday and much more.
