A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Trainee Transport Operator to join their London Gateway depot. As a Transport Operator you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained.

As a Transport Operator you will assist with the day to day running of vehicles to ensure prompt and on time deliveries to customers. You will be required to update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings. You will ensure vehicles and trailers are serviced and MOT'd before being used and assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to be compliant at all times. You will also be required to assist drivers and customers with queries and any issues that arise during a route. 

The right candidate will have some experience in a transport environment; and be willing to learn. Ideally the person will be confident; strong communicator and able to work under pressure. It would also be an advantage if you have worked with Transport Software but those without will still need to be confident working on Microsoft Outlook; Excel and Word. 

The role will be based in their London Gateway Depot and the working hours will be Monday - Friday; flexibility will be required but mainly will be based on day shifts. On offer is a salary of £18,000 - £24,000 per annum.
