Our client is a world leader in specialist logistics distribution looking to add a Yard Supervisor to their Manchester site. As Yard Supervisor you will be responsible managing a 3 person team as well as being hands on loading and unloading a range of products including hazardous goods along with general warehouse duties. The role is a Saturday - Tuesday shift pattern; 40 hours a week. 

The role will be a versatile role as you will manage a small team whilst still being hands; the role requires an in date Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck licence. Although essential for the role; FLT work will not be the only requirement of the position and so the right person needs to be able to work across a multi functional role which will include filling containers; preparing packaging, labelling and palletisation. 

The right person will be enthusiastic; punctual and hard working. They will take pride in their work and ensure completed promptly and to a high standard. They will be friendly and able to work as part of a team and support customers when required. Safety is a high priority of the role and so operating of the trucks should be done with precision and care. Ideally the person will have experience in a supervisory or management position previously.
