Our client is a growing presence in the freight forwarding world and looking to add a Transport Administrator to their Road Freight team based in Castleford. The Transport Administrator will be supporting with the movement of goods for clients via road in the UK and Internationally. Ideally the right person will have an excellent knowledge of European Road transport ideally with experience in both imports and exports. 

The role will be working to provide operational support to customers during movements of goods including assisting with quotations and initial bookings; customer documentation; monitoring shipment progress and managing customers throughout. This role requires a high level of customer service along with the ability to work alongside a variety of stakeholders within the business. 

The role requires an experienced candidate with at least 2 years experience ideally covering both imports and exports but our client is open to further training. It is essential the right candidate is confident in the relevant documentation and is able to communicate well to stakeholders. The right person will be able to join the team and hit the ground running with the ability to work independently. It would be an advantage if a candidate had experience with custom documentation and procedure. 

Salary is negiotable depending on experience along with the opportunity for a team based bonus. The company can offer an excellent working environment with a fixed working schedule of Monday - Friday; 8.30am - 5pm.
