Our client is a global logistics provider offering a range of freight solutions across the globe looking to an Operations Team Leader to their Ocean Freight team. They are a growing presence in the UK market having established themselves in the Americas, Asia and Australasia. The Operations Team Leader will need a background in Ocean Freight operations and able to lead a team alongside the Branch Manager.

As well as assisting the team and helping more junior operators the role will still be focused on providing operational support to customers during the shipping process including assisting with quotations and initial bookings; customer documentation; monitoring shipment progress and managing customers throughout.

Ideally this person will have worked for a freight forwarder focused on worldwide Ocean freight movements and be able to work alongside their other global offices; suppliers and customers. The right person would ideally be able to lead by example to more junior colleagues. The candidate will have excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and others within the business. Ideally this person will have been involved in the mentoring and development of junior operators; be able to handle complex clearances and have had some experience in a supervisory position. 

Salary is flexible and attractive depending on experience but are looking at a basic salary of £28,000 - £34,000 per annum.
