      Location: Staffordshire Salary: £22,000

      We are currently recruiting for a Shipping and Supply Chain Co-Ordinator for a world-renowned British Electricals and Homewares Brand looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment to join their friendly team.

      Role

      Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, the Shipping & Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for all facets of the supply chain admin, with particular focus on controlling the shipping and logistics of stock imports.

       

      Key Duties & Responsibilities:

      Ensuring the timely arrival of import stock orders.

      Checking and controlling all shipping documentation.

      Coordinating transport by sea, air and road.

      Scheduling/Booking-in container deliveries and export collections.

      Chasing suppliers and factories for Inspection and Shipping details.

      Liaising with external freight forwarders, factories, agents and suppliers.

      Resolving transport queries and issues.

      Liaising with relevant parties and key stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the supply chain operation.

      Liaising with the Merchandising and Purchasing team to determine import shipment priorities.

      Compiling, updating and managing shipment schedules and reports.

      Improving processes and efficiencies within the supply chain.

       

      Requirements:

      At least 12 months shipping and logistics experience.

      Personable and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.

      Able to build and foster relationships with people of all levels and backgrounds.

      IT proficient, with good working knowledge of MS Excel.

      Self-motivated and highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

      A flexible team player with a can-do attitude who can work well on their own initiative.

      Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

      Experience of Microsoft Dynamics Navision would be helpful.
