      IT Enterprise Architect

      Location: Letchworth Garden City Salary: £65,000

      The IT Enterprise Architect will proactively lead architecture initiatives and activities across the business, Wholesale, Retail, Fleet, Mobile, Commercial and Agriculture and Corporate functions. Defining current and future state architectures, applications, interfaces, data, technology and infrastructure domains, to meet business objectives and to ensure the business remains the market leader in the use of technology in the sector.

      The role will require excellent leadership, analysis and design skills as well as a strong understanding of modern technology and experience of its implementation. In addition, this role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including communication of technical concepts and business cases to/with board-level colleagues.

      Responsibilities include;

      • Enterprise Architecture Initiatives - lead cross-functional teams to deliver specific architecture initiatives, including business, application, interface, data, technology and integration architecture.
      • Technology Strategies, Architectures and Roadmaps - lead the analysis and documentation of current landscapes, creating future state architectures and roadmaps.
      • Ongoing Architecture Management - creation and management of architecture artefacts and lower level components.
      • Technology Innovation - understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies, applying this understanding to future state architectures.
      • Leadership & Engagement - engage with senior business stakeholders on recommended architectures and solutions and provide thought leadership to the IT organisation.
      • Governance - contribute to, adhere to and advocate the enterprise architecture principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.

      Candidate will have

      • Experience of architectural disciplines, e.g. enterprise, data, infrastructure, application, security
      • Experience across a range of other IT functional disciplines including analysis, project or programme management, solution development, technical implementation or support.
      • Considerable, proven experience in architecture, project management or solution development.
      • Ideally experience of working in Supply Chain, Warehousing and Distribution or Retail businesses.
      • An experienced enterprise or solution architect with a track record of implementing modern technical solutions.
      • A technical authority, who can clearly communicate and engage senior business and IT professionals alike, ideally with, or to be working towards, recognised IT architecture qualifications.
      • Extremely knowledgeable of current technology trends and patterns.
      • Proven track record of leadership, influencing and highly supportive of the business and its ideals and strategies
