      Role

      We are seeking a Product Architect to join our growing engineering team. As a Product Architect you will be an active member of the Product Strategy team, responsible for defining and executing the company’s technological strategy and vision in line with our core principles of innovation, quality and efficiency.

       

      Working outside and along-side the agile product teams, development providers and service providers in a consultative approach, as a Product Architect you will provide hands on technical leadership and mentoring. Involved in wider cross-team, departmental level strategy implementation and own technology sponsored initiatives.

       

      The Product Architect role is key in contributing to a team environment and culture that rewards collaboration, knowledge sharing and excellent relationship building. 

       

      Key Responsibilities

      • Pioneer the development of innovative, efficient, secure, and robust software
      • Act as a role model across the department, setting high professional standards for performance and behaviour.
      • Apply technical expertise and knowledge to design and enhance GForces products directly and through continuous improvement to development practices utilized by the agile product teams
      • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and hands on assistance to agile product teams to help deliver new software and improve existing software
      • Own business level technology sponsored initiatives managed through the SAFe portfolio management framework.
      • Collaborate with Product Managers to identify, contribute, evaluate cost/complexity, negotiate, and improve proposed solutions in order to meet time to market goals
      • Communication of complex information and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences acting as the bridge between the wider business and the production dept.
      • Identify opportunities to learn from external sources, attend industry events and be enthusiastic and passionate about bringing new ideas, practices, techniques, and technologies forward

       

       

      Essential Skills/Experience

      • Experience of software delivery using an Agile methodology
      • Knowledge and experience of SOA approaches and web service technologies
      • Thorough understanding of software engineering principles such as OOP, SOLID etc.
      • Experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, VueJS etc.
      • Awareness of security requirements and software design implications for web-based applications
      • Experience using test frameworks
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Analytical, logical, and methodical approach to problem and issue solving

          • EC2, RDS, S3, Cloudformation, API Gateway
