A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Driver Trainer to oversee their fleet and drivers in the Alconbury depot. The role will be responsible for managing drivers in regard to training, assessment and compliance for around 40 HGV drivers..

The role is centred around safety and driver welfare. You will be responsible for ensuring that all compliance for drivers and fleet is managed and maintained; training is provided to all drivers regularly including the relevant DCPC hours; and the overall management of the drivers in regard to their performance and motivation. The role will be based in the Reading Depot and will require time in the office as well as time on the road for assessment/training. 

The role will be suited to an experienced HGV driver who is looking to move into a managerial role with less time spent on the road. The right candidate will have a Class 1 licence and as exemplary driving record. It is essential that this person be an excellent communicator who can train and develop their team. Our client will provide the relevant training for someone looking to transition into a training based role.
