Our client is a global logistics provider offering a range of freight solutions who are looking to add an Ocean Export Agent to their Manchester team. As an Ocean Export Agent you will support customers throughout their journey from initial booking to costing of files once delivery completed. The company are a market leader in the industry and this is an exciting opportunity to join their team with opportunities for long term progression. 

The role will be working to provide operational support to customers during the shipping process including assisting with quotations and initial bookings; customer documentation; monitoring shipment progress; processing customs clearances and managing customers throughout. This role requires a high level of customer service along with the ability to work alongside a variety of stakeholders within in the business. The role will require a high level of administration to ensure files are kept up to date and can be correctly billed at the end of process. 

Ideally this person will have worked for a freight forwarder or similar focused on worldwide Ocean freight movements and be able to work alongside their other global offices; suppliers and customers. The right candidate will have excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and others within the business. Experience working with HMRC procedures and customs clearances would be an advantage. The right candidate will be comfortable working across relevant software such as CargoWise.

The working hours will be Monday - Friday; 9am - 5.30pm but there is some flexibility on working hours. The role will be based in their Manchester Trafford Park office with 2 days working from the office with flexibility on the other 3 days as to whether a candidate wants to work from home or in the office. On offer is a salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum with opportunity for an annual performance based bonus. Additionally there is an enhanced pension plan; 25 days holiday and opportunities for further training and progression.
