P3 takes on Breakout
In order to raise funds for the Christies charity, the P3 team took on Breakout. The team was split into two and locked in two separate rooms, where a countdown clock began – giving them an hour to escape.
On March 30th 2017, P3 accepted the Breakout challenge and agreed to be locked inside a room for 60 minutes. The only way out was through a locked door filled with padlocks. The only way to escape and unlock the door, was to solve the various puzzles and riddles hidden within each room.
The first team was escorted down the stairs to a dark basement where each team member was handed a small torch. The walls were lined with severe warnings of the impending doom they were about to face, and the team was beginning to sweat.
As the team entered the confining room an eerie laugh began to echo around them, just as the countdown clock began.
The second team had their work cut out for them. They were tasked with solving a murder. They were escorted into the crime scene where objects littered the floor and clues to the killer were buried in the debris.
The winning team (as pictured) escaped the horrifying basement room within the timeframe, and with just over 11 minutes to spare.
Unfortunately the other team are still trapped inside!
Most importantly, as a whole P3 was able to raise £395 for The Christies charity.
The Christies charity supports the work of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust through its fundraising activities, and delivers projects, equipment and improvements that are over and above what the NHS funds.
During the course of 2017 P3 will be taking part in different events throughout the year in honour of the Christies.
